| 2 | | WHEREAS, Senate Joint Resolution 103 of the 89th General |
| 3 | | Assembly provided in part that "the part of U.S. Route 14 that |
| 4 | | is within the State of Illinois and is currently known as the |
| 5 | | Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway"; |
| 6 | | and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The General Assembly chooses to amend that |
| 8 | | designation; therefore, be it
|
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF |
| 11 | | REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the part of U.S. Route |
| 12 | | 14 that is within the State of Illinois and is known as the |
| 13 | | Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway, |
| 14 | | with the exception of the portion of U.S. Route 14 that lies |
| 15 | | between Broadway and Ridge Avenue (also known as Ridge |
| 16 | | Boulevard); and be it further
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation |
| 18 | | is directed to alter or remove signs, markers, or plaques that |
| 19 | | were placed in accordance with Senate Joint Resolution 103 of |
| 20 | | the 89th General Assembly to the extent that the alteration or |
| 21 | | removal is necessary to conform to the amended designation; |
| 22 | | and be it further
