SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Hunter Mitchell James of Virden, who 
4passed away on February 15, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Hunter James, the son of Kyle James and Shelby 
6Stufflebeam, was born in Springfield on January 12, 2012; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Hunter James was an eighth grade student at 
8Auburn Junior High School, where he was loved by his teachers 
9and peers; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Hunter James loved playing baseball and Fortnite 
11online with his friends; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Hunter James passed away alongside his father and 
13younger brother, Jacob James; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Hunter James is survived by his mother; his 
15younger sister, Molly James; his maternal grandparents, 
16Barbara Stufflebeam and Chuck (Trina) McGraw; his paternal 
17grandmother, Jackie James; and several aunts, uncles, and 
18cousins; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Hunter Mitchell James and extend our sincere condolences to 
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Hunter James as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
