SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians
3are trained in food and nutrition and are an integral part of
4healthcare and foodservice management teams; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians
6have earned an associate's or bachelor's degree, undergone
7specific curriculum requirements, and passed an examination;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians
10use their nutrition knowledge to help individuals make
11positive lifestyle changes and support their nutrition team;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians
14work throughout the community in a number of areas, including
15hospitals, public health clinics, and nursing homes; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Registered nutrition and dietetics technicians
17are advocates for advancing the nutritional status of
18Americans and people around the world; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare March 13,

12025 as Registered Nutrition and Dietetics Technician Day in
2the State of Illinois; and be it further
 
3    RESOLVED, That we encourage all citizens to recognize the
4contributions of registered nutrition and dietetics
5technicians, and we express our appreciation for their
6commitment to promoting science-based nutrition in the hope of
7achieving optimum health for both today and tomorrow.
