SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Debrah Lyle McCauley, who passed away 
4on August 24, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Debrah McCauley was born on October 29, 1947; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Debrah McCauley retired from Joliet West High 
7School, where she valued effort and behavior from her students 
8more than their grades; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Debrah McCauley enjoyed drinking Diet Pepsi, 
10listening to loud music, and reading the Sunday paper; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Debrah McCauley loved her family and friends; she 
12will be remembered for her empathy, her sense of humor, and her 
13strength; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Debrah McCauley was preceded in death by her 
15husband, Arthur "Art" McCauley; her parents; and her in-laws; 
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Debrah McCauley is survived by her daughters, 
18Denise Divis and Debrah "Deb" Clark; many grandchildren and 
19great-grandchildren; and her friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Debrah Lyle McCauley and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Debrah McCauley as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
