| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the tragic deaths of Zachary Bailey, his wife, | ||||||
| 4 | Kelsey Bailey, and their children, Vada Rose and Samuel | ||||||
| 5 | Bailey, who lost their lives in a helicopter crash in Montana | ||||||
| 6 | on October 22, 2025; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Zachary Bailey was the beloved son of former | ||||||
| 8 | Illinois State Senator Darren Bailey, who served with | ||||||
| 9 | distinction in the Illinois Senate from 2021 to 2023, and his | ||||||
| 10 | wife, Cindy Bailey; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Zachary Bailey, age 37, was a devoted husband, | ||||||
| 12 | father, man of faith, and fourth-generation farmer who | ||||||
| 13 | contributed to the success and growth of the family's | ||||||
| 14 | agricultural operations; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Kelsey Bailey, age 35, was a kind, passionate, | ||||||
| 16 | and inspiring individual who owned Faithfully Fit Supplements | ||||||
| 17 | and Nutrition, a business in Effingham, where she encouraged | ||||||
| 18 | others to pursue healthier lives guided by faith, dedication, | ||||||
| 19 | and service; and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Zachary and Kelsey Bailey shared a deep and | ||||||
| 21 | abiding faith that shaped their lives and their marriage; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Zachary and Kelsey Bailey were devoted parents | ||||||
| 2 | who found their greatest fulfillment in their family and in | ||||||
| 3 | raising their children with love and faith; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Vada Rose Bailey, age 12, and Samuel Bailey, age | ||||||
| 5 | 7, were beloved children who brought joy and happiness to all | ||||||
| 6 | who knew them and will be remembered for their laughter and | ||||||
| 7 | curiosity; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, The entire Bailey family was active in their | ||||||
| 9 | ministry and in their community, living their faith through | ||||||
| 10 | service, kindness, and compassion toward others; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Baileys' second eldest child, Finnley Tate | ||||||
| 12 | Bailey, age 10, survives his parents and siblings and is | ||||||
| 13 | surrounded by the love and support of family and friends; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, The Bailey family's sudden and heartbreaking loss | ||||||
| 15 | has deeply affected the community of Louisville and all who | ||||||
| 16 | knew them, leaving an enduring legacy of faith, love, and | ||||||
| 17 | unity; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 20 | Zachary, Kelsey, Vada Rose, and Samuel Bailey and extend our | ||||||

| 1 | heartfelt condolences to Darren and Cindy Bailey, Finnley | ||||||
| 2 | Bailey, and the entire Bailey family; and be it further | ||||||
| 3 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 4 | presented to the family of Zachary and Kelsey Bailey as an | ||||||
| 5 | expression of our deepest sympathy and support. | ||||||
