SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Colleen Doyle of Grosse Pointe,
4Michigan, who passed away on August 21, 2025 at the age of 57;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle was born in Oak Park to Trudy and
7Mike Doyle on August 21, 1968; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle, after her graduation from Oak Park
9and River Forest High School, attended the University of
10Illinois Chicago, studying criminal justice; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle later served as a Deputy U.S.
12Marshal with distinction for a 27-year career, including
13assignments with participation in the FBI Fugitive Task Force
14and the Judicial Security Team, often providing protection for
15U.S. Supreme Court Justices when they traveled; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle was an ardent traveler to Asia,
17Africa, and multiple locations around Europe, where she
18specifically enjoyed Italian cooking schools to further her
19culinary skills and took many trips with a close-knit group of
20lifelong friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle was known for her kindness, humor,
2generosity, and professionalism and deeply valued her profound
3companionships, offering her delicious baked goods to
4neighbors, acquaintances, and friends, and she loved mystery
5novels, both reading them and then enjoying engaging
6discussions of the plotlines; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle, most notably, was delighted in her
8role as an aunt to her six nieces and nephews, as well as the
9numerous children of family friends, attending school and
10sports events, bringing them on road trips, and cultivating
11their cooking knowledge through her own talent; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle is survived by her parents, Trudy
13and Mike Doyle; her brothers, Kevin and Peter; her
14sisters-in-law, Katie and Cindy; her nieces, Maggie and
15Trulyn; and her nephews, Patrick, Colin, Finn, and Henry;
16therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Colleen Doyle and extend our sincere condolences to her
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
21further
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
