| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Colleen Doyle of Grosse Pointe, |
| 4 | | Michigan, who passed away on August 21, 2025 at the age of 57; |
| 5 | | and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle was born in Oak Park to Trudy and |
| 7 | | Mike Doyle on August 21, 1968; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle, after her graduation from Oak Park |
| 9 | | and River Forest High School, attended the University of |
| 10 | | Illinois Chicago, studying criminal justice; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle later served as a Deputy U.S. |
| 12 | | Marshal with distinction for a 27-year career, including |
| 13 | | assignments with participation in the FBI Fugitive Task Force |
| 14 | | and the Judicial Security Team, often providing protection for |
| 15 | | U.S. Supreme Court Justices when they traveled; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle was an ardent traveler to Asia, |
| 17 | | Africa, and multiple locations around Europe, where she |
| 18 | | specifically enjoyed Italian cooking schools to further her |
| 19 | | culinary skills and took many trips with a close-knit group of |
| 20 | | lifelong friends; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle was known for her kindness, humor, |
| 2 | | generosity, and professionalism and deeply valued her profound |
| 3 | | companionships, offering her delicious baked goods to |
| 4 | | neighbors, acquaintances, and friends, and she loved mystery |
| 5 | | novels, both reading them and then enjoying engaging |
| 6 | | discussions of the plotlines; and |
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle, most notably, was delighted in her |
| 8 | | role as an aunt to her six nieces and nephews, as well as the |
| 9 | | numerous children of family friends, attending school and |
| 10 | | sports events, bringing them on road trips, and cultivating |
| 11 | | their cooking knowledge through her own talent; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Colleen Doyle is survived by her parents, Trudy |
| 13 | | and Mike Doyle; her brothers, Kevin and Peter; her |
| 14 | | sisters-in-law, Katie and Cindy; her nieces, Maggie and |
| 15 | | Trulyn; and her nephews, Patrick, Colin, Finn, and Henry; |
| 16 | | therefore, be it |
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 | | Colleen Doyle and extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 20 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
