SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Beverly (Kall) Sussman; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman was a dedicated teacher in School
5District 96 for 26 years and a Presidential Award Winner in
6Science; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman was village president of Buffalo
8Grove for eight years; prior to that, she was a trustee for 10
9years; she noted the creation of the Lake-Cook Corridor Plan
10and Market Study as a village accomplishment of which she was
11most proud; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman was a commissioner of the Rick
13Kahen Commission for Residents with Disabilities for 15 years;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman enriched every community she
16touched, always wanting to help people, whether it was
17children in the schools or residents of the village; as a
18devoted teacher turned tireless public servant, her spirit
19brightened countless lives and will continue to inspire those
20who knew her; and

1    WHEREAS, Beverly Sussman was the beloved wife of 65 years
2of Martin W. Sussman; the loving mother of Richard (Marci),
3Howard, and Robert (Noa) Sussman; the proud grandmother of
4Samuel, Dana, Maxwell, Rebecca, Rebecca "Rivky", Chana Michla,
5Eliana, and Nechama Leeba; the dear sister of Gladys Goldsmith
6and the late Vera Winitch; and the adored daughter of the late
7Samuel and Rebecca Kall; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Beverly (Kall) Sussman and extend our sincere condolences to
11her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Beverly (Kall) Sussman as a symbol
15of our respect and esteem.
