SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Lott, who passed away on
4December 26, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Lott was born in Springfield to Charles and
6Constance (Cullimore) Lott on July 27, 1956; he graduated from
7Athens High School in 1974; he married Debbie Bock on October
818, 1975, and they shared 49 wonderful years together; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Lott worked a variety of jobs before
10eventually becoming self-employed by starting B&B Builders; he
11later ran the family trailer and monument business, J&R Marble
12and Trailer in Athens; he retired in 2021 but stayed active,
13mowing grass for the school and helping wherever he could; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bob Lott was a respected member of his community
15and known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping
16hand; he led efforts to improve and maintain the Athens Park as
17board president and later served as Menard County Commissioner
18for several years, making a lasting impact; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bob Lott cherished time with family and friends,
20whether taking a trip, tackling a project, or just sharing
21laughs, and his grandchildren could always count on him for a

1silly story; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Bob Lott is survived by his children, Nick Lott,
3Brian Lott, and Lindsay (Jeff) Suelmann; his grandchildren,
4Charlie, Trey, Brice, and Ellie; his mother, Connie Reed; his
5brothers, Steve (Gail) and David Lott; his brother-in-law,
6Roger (Barb) Bock; his sister-in-law, Nancy Smith; and several
7nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Robert "Bob" Lott and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Bob Lott as an expression of our
15deepest sympathies.
