SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
3celebrate the life of Daphanie Love, whose faith, strength,
4generosity, and vibrant spirit left a lasting and positive
5impact on her family, friends, community, and all who had the
6privilege of knowing her; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was born in Chicago on February 20,
81961, the beloved middle child of Eugene and Willie Mae Love,
9and was raised in the Hyde Park community, where she attended
10Ray Elementary School and Kenwood High School; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was a member of Unity Missionary
12Baptist Church in Chicago under the leadership of Reverend
13Frank L. Johnson, a faith that remained central to her life and
14guided her actions with compassion and purpose; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was a devoted and loving mother to
16her cherished son, Reginald D. Love, whom she loved with all
17her heart, and she shared many meaningful years raising him
18alongside Thomas Williams, whom she met at the age of 17; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was a bright, energetic, and
20determined woman who devoted her life to serving others
21through her work as a certified nursing assistant,

1consistently showing kindness, patience, and care to those in
2need; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love, demonstrating her entrepreneurial
4spirit and determination, proudly founded DNR Cleaning
5Services LLC five years ago, building a legacy business she
6shared with her son and took great pride in growing and
7maintaining; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love worked diligently at numerous
9locations, including South Park Baptist Church, and built
10lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and friends,
11including her valued partner and friend, Benny Glinsey, all of
12whom admired her work ethic and joyful personality; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love generously gave of her time and
14energy to support her community, reflecting her commitment to
15public service and her desire to help others succeed; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was widely known for her vibrant
17personality, distinctive style, and joyful sense of humor; she
18loved traveling, dressing in stylish and creative outfits, and
19delighting family and friends with her lively spirit,
20unforgettable smile, and signature flair; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was strong-willed, outspoken, and

1loving, ensuring each member of her family felt valued and
2remembered, especially through her thoughtful tradition of
3giving gifts and spreading joy during the holidays; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love demonstrated remarkable strength
5and courage during her illness, inspiring those around her
6with her perseverance, grace, and unwavering faith, and she
7remained a symbol of resilience and hope to all who loved her;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was preceded in death by her
10parents, Eugene and Willie Mae Love, and her brothers, Eugene
11Jr. and Michael; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Daphanie Love leaves to celebrate her life and
13cherish her memory her beloved son, Reginald D. Love; her
14siblings, Ermer Love, Larnetta Buck, Anthony Love, Reverend
15Faridah Howard, John Love, and Mamie Lee Love; her nieces and
16nephews; and a wide circle of relatives, friends, colleagues,
17and community members whose lives were enriched by her
18presence; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we celebrate the life
21of Daphanie Love, recognizing her enduring legacy of faith,
22service, love, and joy; and be it further

2presented to the family of Daphanie Love as an expression of
3our highest esteem, deepest sympathy, and gratitude for the
