| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to | ||||||
| 3 | celebrate the life of Daphanie Love, whose faith, strength, | ||||||
| 4 | generosity, and vibrant spirit left a lasting and positive | ||||||
| 5 | impact on her family, friends, community, and all who had the | ||||||
| 6 | privilege of knowing her; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was born in Chicago on February 20, | ||||||
| 8 | 1961, the beloved middle child of Eugene and Willie Mae Love, | ||||||
| 9 | and was raised in the Hyde Park community, where she attended | ||||||
| 10 | Ray Elementary School and Kenwood High School; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was a member of Unity Missionary | ||||||
| 12 | Baptist Church in Chicago under the leadership of Reverend | ||||||
| 13 | Frank L. Johnson, a faith that remained central to her life and | ||||||
| 14 | guided her actions with compassion and purpose; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was a devoted and loving mother to | ||||||
| 16 | her cherished son, Reginald D. Love, whom she loved with all | ||||||
| 17 | her heart, and she shared many meaningful years raising him | ||||||
| 18 | alongside Thomas Williams, whom she met at the age of 17; and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was a bright, energetic, and | ||||||
| 20 | determined woman who devoted her life to serving others | ||||||
| 21 | through her work as a certified nursing assistant, | ||||||

| 1 | consistently showing kindness, patience, and care to those in | ||||||
| 2 | need; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love, demonstrating her entrepreneurial | ||||||
| 4 | spirit and determination, proudly founded DNR Cleaning | ||||||
| 5 | Services LLC five years ago, building a legacy business she | ||||||
| 6 | shared with her son and took great pride in growing and | ||||||
| 7 | maintaining; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love worked diligently at numerous | ||||||
| 9 | locations, including South Park Baptist Church, and built | ||||||
| 10 | lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and friends, | ||||||
| 11 | including her valued partner and friend, Benny Glinsey, all of | ||||||
| 12 | whom admired her work ethic and joyful personality; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love generously gave of her time and | ||||||
| 14 | energy to support her community, reflecting her commitment to | ||||||
| 15 | public service and her desire to help others succeed; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was widely known for her vibrant | ||||||
| 17 | personality, distinctive style, and joyful sense of humor; she | ||||||
| 18 | loved traveling, dressing in stylish and creative outfits, and | ||||||
| 19 | delighting family and friends with her lively spirit, | ||||||
| 20 | unforgettable smile, and signature flair; and | ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was strong-willed, outspoken, and | ||||||

| 1 | loving, ensuring each member of her family felt valued and | ||||||
| 2 | remembered, especially through her thoughtful tradition of | ||||||
| 3 | giving gifts and spreading joy during the holidays; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love demonstrated remarkable strength | ||||||
| 5 | and courage during her illness, inspiring those around her | ||||||
| 6 | with her perseverance, grace, and unwavering faith, and she | ||||||
| 7 | remained a symbol of resilience and hope to all who loved her; | ||||||
| 8 | and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 10 | parents, Eugene and Willie Mae Love, and her brothers, Eugene | ||||||
| 11 | Jr. and Michael; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Daphanie Love leaves to celebrate her life and | ||||||
| 13 | cherish her memory her beloved son, Reginald D. Love; her | ||||||
| 14 | siblings, Ermer Love, Larnetta Buck, Anthony Love, Reverend | ||||||
| 15 | Faridah Howard, John Love, and Mamie Lee Love; her nieces and | ||||||
| 16 | nephews; and a wide circle of relatives, friends, colleagues, | ||||||
| 17 | and community members whose lives were enriched by her | ||||||
| 18 | presence; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we celebrate the life | ||||||
| 21 | of Daphanie Love, recognizing her enduring legacy of faith, | ||||||
| 22 | service, love, and joy; and be it further | ||||||
