SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Lynnie Rebecca Taylor of Shiloh, who
4passed away on February 17, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lynnie Taylor was born to Leslie Taylor Sr. and
6Mae Reather (Jackson) Taylor in East St. Louis on September
728, 1965; she embraced her faith at an early age and became a
8lifelong member of her family's church, the House of Prayer;
9she attended Monroe Elementary School, Cannady Elementary
10School, Rock Junior High School, and East St. Louis Senior
11High School, graduating in 1983, and studied early childhood
12development at Southwestern Illinois College, formerly
13Belleville Area College; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Lynnie Taylor began working at Scott Air Force
15Base immediately following high school; she was adored by
16coworkers and patrons alike and enjoyed a long, gratifying
17career in culinary arts; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lynnie Taylor enjoyed traveling with her family,
19playing friendly card games, and spending time in the park
20with her grandchildren, and she loved celebrating the
21holidays, especially Christmas; and

1    WHEREAS, Lynnie Taylor, affectionately known as "Bayboo"
2by family and friends, will be remembered for her cheerful
3energy and beautiful, loving smile; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Lynnie Taylor was preceded in death by her
5parents and her brothers, Ramon Taylor, Rodney Taylor, and
6Alander Taylor; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Lynnie Taylor is survived by her sons, DeAndre
8(Conswayla) Taylor and Darryl Cathion Jr.; her daughter,
9Dariel Cathion; her sisters, Eloise Taylor, Sharon Taylor, and
10Marie Taylor; her brothers, Ethereal Taylor, Jacques Taylor,
11and Leslie Taylor Jr.; her uncle, Willie Jackson; ten
12grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends;
13therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Lynnie Rebecca Taylor and extend our sincere condolences to
17her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Lynnie Taylor as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
