| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Edward A. "Ed" Conway of Pekin, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 15, 2026; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ed Conway was born to Adolf and Sophia |
| 6 | | (Suspenski) Conway in Avondale, Missouri on October 20, 1938; |
| 7 | | he married Nancy Kavisic in Kansas City, Missouri on February |
| 8 | | 24, 1962; he served in the United States Army; he earned a |
| 9 | | master's degree from William Jewell College in Liberty, |
| 10 | | Missouri; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ed Conway had a remarkable 48-year career at CPC |
| 12 | | International, retiring as plant manager in 2003, and his long |
| 13 | | tenure reflected his dedication and leadership in industrial |
| 14 | | operations; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Ed Conway was a true sports enthusiast, with |
| 16 | | particular love for track, football, basketball, and golf; he |
| 17 | | was also an avid target shooter, fisherman, and hunter, |
| 18 | | partaking in safari hunts around the world, and he enjoyed |
| 19 | | floral gardening and rock collecting; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Ed Conway will be remembered as a man with an |
| 21 | | adventurous spirit and appreciation for the outdoors who also |
