SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James Eugene Martindale of
4Donnellson, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Martindale, the son of Charles and Donna
6(Spangler) Martindale, was born in Canton on September 8,
71964; he married Nancy Corbin, and they later divorced; and
 
8    WHEREAS, James Martindale served his country in the United
9States Army; and
 
10    WHEREAS, James Martindale enjoyed karaoke, mushroom
11hunting, rock finding, playing pool, and antique collecting,
12but most of all, he loved spending time with his family; and
 
13    WHEREAS, James Martindale was preceded in death by his
14grandparents; his stepfather, John Hollingsworth; and his
15brother, Kevin Martindale; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Martindale is survived by his daughter,
17Danielle Martindale; his son, Michael Martindale; four
18grandchildren, Tavius, Serenity, Freya, and Aurora; his
19mother, Donna (Fred Wilson) Hollingsworth; his father, Charles
20(Kathy) Martindale; two brothers, Richard Martindale and Jay

1(Heather) Pritchard; three sisters, Charlene
2Martindale-Markley, Caitlin Martindale, and Celsey
3Martindale-Young; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7James Eugene Martindale and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of James Martindale as an expression
12of our deepest sympathy.
