| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of James Eugene Martindale of |
| 4 | | Donnellson, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2026; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Martindale, the son of Charles and Donna |
| 6 | | (Spangler) Martindale, was born in Canton on September 8, |
| 7 | | 1964; he married Nancy Corbin, and they later divorced; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, James Martindale served his country in the United |
| 9 | | States Army; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James Martindale enjoyed karaoke, mushroom |
| 11 | | hunting, rock finding, playing pool, and antique collecting, |
| 12 | | but most of all, he loved spending time with his family; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, James Martindale was preceded in death by his |
| 14 | | grandparents; his stepfather, John Hollingsworth; and his |
| 15 | | brother, Kevin Martindale; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, James Martindale is survived by his daughter, |
| 17 | | Danielle Martindale; his son, Michael Martindale; four |
| 18 | | grandchildren, Tavius, Serenity, Freya, and Aurora; his |
| 19 | | mother, Donna (Fred Wilson) Hollingsworth; his father, Charles |
| 20 | | (Kathy) Martindale; two brothers, Richard Martindale and Jay |
