SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 
3congratulate Daniel and Constance Herriott of Champaign County 
4on the occasion of being named among the Top 10 national 
5contenders in the American Farm Bureau Federation Young 
6Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award program; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers 
8and Ranchers Achievement Award program recognizes young farm 
9families who demonstrate excellence in agricultural 
10production, leadership, and involvement in Farm Bureau and 
11their local communities; and
 
12    WHEREAS, In recognition of their leadership and success in 
13agriculture at the state level, Daniel and Constance Herriott 
14were named winners of the Illinois Farm Bureau Young Leader 
15Achievement Award in June 2025, earning them the opportunity 
16to represent Illinois in the national competition; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Daniel and Constance Herriott's selection as Top 
1810 national contenders reflects succeeding a competitive 
19evaluation process that considers farm growth, innovation, 
20sustainability, leadership, and contributions to the 
21agricultural industry; and

1    WHEREAS, Through their dedication to agriculture and 
2active engagement in Farm Bureau, Daniel and Constance 
3Herriott distinguished themselves among applicants from across 
4the nation and earned national recognition through the 
5American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers 
6Achievement Award program; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Daniel and Constance Herriott's achievement is a 
8testament to their skills and hard work, and it further 
9reflects positively on Champaign County and the State of 
10Illinois; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Daniel 
13and Constance Herriott on being named among the Top 10 
14national contenders in the American Farm Bureau Federation 
15Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award program, and we 
16commend them on this achievement and for all of their hard 
17work; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19presented to Daniel and Constance Herriott as an expression of 
20our esteem and respect.
