SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Marcia Ann (Weber) Rosenthal, who
4passed away on April 12, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal, the daughter of Ivan and Claire
6Mae (Prose) Weber, was born in Springfield on July 25, 1952;
7she graduated from Morrisonville Community High School in
81970; she married Wayne A. Rosenthal at St. Maurice Catholic
9Church in Morrisonville on February 12, 1972; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal worked at Fiat Allis, the
11Illinois Department of Corrections-Juvenile Division, and Top
12Drawer by Sarah Adele in Taylorville; she also served as an
13EMT-B for the Morrisonville Community Ambulance Service for 38
14years, where she held various board member positions,
15including president; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal served as a board member for St.
17Maurice Catholic School, where she sang in the choir and
18advocated for children; she volunteered at the Christian
19County Medical Clinic in Morrisonville and for the Legion
20Auxiliary; she also served as a trustee for the Board of the
21Village of Morrisonville and as a member of the
22Christian/Shelby County 911 board for many years; and

1    WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal was a talented seamstress who
2made alterations to daily clothes, special event dresses, and
3wedding attire; she enjoyed traveling, and her greatest joy
4came from spending time with her children and grandchildren;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal was a friend to all, and her
7truest passion was helping others; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal was preceded in death by her
9parents and her sister, Arlene Kay Montgomery; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Marcia Rosenthal is survived by her husband of 54
11years, Wayne; her sons, Dustin (Brooke) Rosenthal, Sean
12(Sarah) Rosenthal, and Casey (Kelsey) Rosenthal; seven
13grandchildren with one on the way; many nieces and nephews;
14her cousins; and her special friends; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
17Marcia Ann (Weber) Rosenthal and extend our sincere
18condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
19her; and be it further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
