SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Andrew Joseph "Andy" Klatt, who passed
4away on April 14, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Andy Klatt, the son of Norbert Klatt and Lorraine
6Klatt, was born in Glenview on January 3, 1979; he lived in
7many places before ultimately settling in Wilmette; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Andy Klatt served as a firefighter for 23 years
9and rose to the rank of lieutenant, dedicating his life to
10helping others and saving lives; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Andy Klatt enjoyed sailing, snowboarding,
12exploring the world, bringing people together, and spending
13time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who
14he treated as his own; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Andy Klatt, known for his funny, bold, kind, and
16deeply alive disposition, was always learning, always
17connecting, and always finding new ways to experience joy; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Andy Klatt was a loving husband, a caring friend,
19an inspiring sibling, a good neighbor, an excellent dog owner,
20and a truly exceptional uncle; and

1    WHEREAS, Andy Klatt was preceded in death by his father
2and his siblings, Paul, Mike, and Stephanie; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Andy Klatt is survived by his wife, Rebecca
4Delott; his mother; his siblings, MaryBeth, John, Doug, Bryan,
5Leslie, and Peter; and 14 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Andrew Joseph "Andy" Klatt and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Andy Klatt as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
