SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kay Landgrebe of Springfield, who
4passed away on May 4, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kay Landgrebe was born in Taylorville to James
6and Edith (Witt) Taylor on November 6, 1951; she married Gary
7Landgrebe on July 8, 1972; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Kay Landgrebe retired from St. Francis Convent,
9where she worked in administration; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kay Landgrebe was a member of Riverton Christian
11Church and was devoted to her bible study group there; she was
12an avid reader and most of all enjoyed spending time with her
13family; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Kay Landgrebe was preceded in death by her
15parents and her sisters, Helen Turvey, Charlotte Reed, and
16Rita Johnson; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kay Landgrebe is survived by her husband, Gary;
18her son, James Landgrebe; her grandchildren, Karly, Kelli, and
19Porter; her great-grandson, Jay; her brother, Tony (Deanna)
20Taylor; her sisters, Penny (Horst) Tetzel and Pam (Mike)

1Brady; and several nieces, nephew, and cousins; therefore, be

3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Kay Landgrebe and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Kay Landgrebe as a symbol of our
10deepest sympathy.
