SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Trainette Renee' "Trina" Graham
4Davis, who passed away on April 9, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Trainette Davis was born to Atkins "AC" Clayton
6and Lutishia Graham in Chicago on April 21, 1952, the third of
7six siblings; she committed to her faith at an early age, and
8she was a member of Greater Harvest Baptist Church, where she
9also sang in the choir; she graduated from Jean Baptiste Point
10DuSable High School in 1971; she attended Northeastern
11Teacher's College, and she received a degree in early
12childhood development from Kennedy King College; she married
13Robert Davis; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Trainette Davis worked in the field of childcare
15for over 30 years, and she greatly enjoyed working with
16children; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Trainette Davis loved baking and crafting, and
18she especially loved spending time with her children and
19grandchildren; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Trainette David was loving and kind to everyone
21she met; she was a good listener who was always easy to talk

2    WHEREAS, Trainette Davis was preceded in death by her
3parents and her siblings, Earline Lee and Edward Salter; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Trainette Davis is survived by her husband of
5over 34 years, Robert; her children, Lennard McFadden, Jamil
6(Karon) McFadden, and Tanita Robin Davis; eight grandchildren;
7her siblings, Warrick (Darrell) Graham, Brenda (Tino) Walker
8and Tawanda Clayton; her nieces and nephews; her aunt, Eva;
9and a host of cousins and friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Trainette Renee' "Trina" Graham Davis and extend our sincere
13condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
14her; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Trainette Davis as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
