| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Anthony M. Neita, who passed away on |
| 4 | | July 7, 2025; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Neita was born to A.D. Moody and Bobbie |
| 6 | | (Neita) Stiff in Chicago on February 2, 1955; he attended |
| 7 | | Alfred D. Kohn Elementary School and Harlan High School; he |
| 8 | | received an Associate in Applied Science in Auto Mechanics |
| 9 | | from Kennedy King College; he served in the United States Army |
| 10 | | as a recovery specialist of the 1st Cavalry Division for six |
| 11 | | years, and he was honorably discharged with the rank of |
| 12 | | Specialist (E-4) in 1979; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Neita worked at Continental Can and |
| 14 | | General Electric before serving as a bus operator for Chicago |
| 15 | | Transit Authority (CTA), retiring in March 2017 after 25 years |
| 16 | | of service; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Neita enjoyed playing bid whist, relaxing |
| 18 | | on his boat, telling stories about his children and |
| 19 | | grandchildren, and watching anything related to Star Wars; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Anthony Neita was a man of strong faith known to |
| 21 | | many as "Buster" or "Tony; to his family, he was |
