SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clarence R. "C.R." Wirth of Worth, who passed away on May 28, 2026 at the age of 96; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was born in Illinois to George and Evelyn Wirth on January 18, 1930; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a skilled and hardworking home builder and designed and constructed his family home in Worth in 1961, where he lived for more than six decades; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a man of remarkable talent and discipline, earning a black belt in judo, becoming an expert marksman, and excelling as a boxer, yet he remained humble and never sought the spotlight; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a faithful member of All Saints Lutheran Church and a blessing to everyone who knew him; he was a modest, kind, and steadfast man whose quiet strength, patriotism, and deep love for family touched countless lives; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was the beloved husband of 63 years of the late Jennean M. "Jean" (Olson) Wirth; the loving and devoted father of Mark Wirth, Jane (Randy) Davidson, John (Barbara) Wirth, and Kristin (Luis) Rodriguez; the cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren; the dearest great-grandfather of 13 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and a dear brother and uncle to many; and; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Clarence R. "C.R." Wirth and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clarence Wirth as an expression of our sincere condolences.
