SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Clarence R. "C.R." Wirth of Worth, who
4passed away on May 28, 2026 at the age of 96; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was born in Illinois to George and
6Evelyn Wirth on January 18, 1930; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth proudly served his country with
8the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a skilled and hardworking home
10builder and designed and constructed his family home in Worth
11in 1961, where he lived for more than six decades; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a man of remarkable talent and
13discipline, earning a black belt in judo, becoming an expert
14marksman, and excelling as a boxer, yet he remained humble and
15never sought the spotlight; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was a faithful member of All
17Saints Lutheran Church and a blessing to everyone who knew
18him; he was a modest, kind, and steadfast man whose quiet
19strength, patriotism, and deep love for family touched
20countless lives; and

1    WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was preceded in death by his
2parents; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Clarence Wirth was the beloved husband of 63
4years of the late Jennean M. "Jean" (Olson) Wirth; the loving
5and devoted father of Mark Wirth, Jane (Randy) Davidson, John
6(Barbara) Wirth, and Kristin (Luis) Rodriguez; the cherished
7grandfather of 13 grandchildren; the dearest great-grandfather
8of 13 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; and a dear
9brother and uncle to many; and; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Clarence R. "C.R." Wirth and extend our sincere condolences to
13his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Clarence Wirth as an expression of
17our sincere condolences.
