Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Provides that the county board of any county may (i) develop a permit system, including reasonable fees for the purpose of tracking and limiting the amount of time a building remains unoccupied and unimproved and (ii) to impose for an appropriate remedy if the property remains unoccupied and unimproved for an unreasonable amount of time, as determined in advance by the county board, and poses a threat to the public health, safety, or welfare.
