Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Downstate Teacher Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Allows purchase up to 5 (rather than 2) years of service credit for time spent on active duty in the armed forces before becoming a participant, and reduces the required contribution for that credit. Effective immediately.
