 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 79 on  page  1,  by
 3    replacing lines 13 and 14 with the following:
 4        "(b)  As  used  in  this  Section  and in compliance with
 5    federal law, "referendum" means the process whereby  teachers
 6    are granted the opportunity to make an irrevocable individual
 7    election   to  participate  in  the  medicare  program  on  a
 8    prospective basis.".
