| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 0679 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act is |

| amended by changing Section 22 as follows:

| Sec. 22. Enrollment in program; funding for community |
| 8 |
| organizations. |
| 9 |
| (a) The Department shall develop procedures
to allow |
| 10 |
| community providers, schools, youth service agencies, |
| 11 |
| employers,
labor unions, local chambers of commerce, and |
| 12 |
| religious organizations to
assist in enrolling children in the |
| 13 |
| Program. |
| 14 |
| (b) Subject to specific appropriation, the Department |
| 15 |
| shall provide funding to community organizations for outreach |
| 16 |
| activities, which could include assistance in completing the |
| 17 |
| application process and forwarding the application to the State |
| 18 |
| for processing. Community organizations will be required to |
| 19 |
| provide specific services and will be held accountable for |
| 20 |
| providing those services. If a community organization does not |
| 21 |
| provide those services, the organization will be required to |
| 22 |
| return funds to the Department.
