AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 853

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 853, AS AMENDED,

with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 
4
1, on page 6, immediately below line 14, by inserting the 
5
following:

    "Beginning on July 1, 2004, in case of a sale of dyed 
7
diesel fuel for consumption or use in the operation of ships, 
8
barges, or vessels used in or for commercial navigation or in 
9
or for the transportation of property on waters in this State, 
10
the distributor shall show in his or her return the amount of 
11
invoiced gallons of dyed diesel fuel sold and the name and 
12
address of the purchaser in addition to any other information 
13
the Department may require."; and

on page 7, line 33, by deleting "and"; and
 
15
on page 8, line 4, immediately after "Department", by inserting 
16
the following:
17
"; and (10) beginning on July 1, 2004, if a sale of dyed diesel 
18
fuel is made for consumption or use in the operation of ships, 
19
barges, or vessels used in or for commercial navigation or in 
20
or for the transportation of property on waters in this State, 
21
by making a specific notation thereof on the invoice or sales 
22
slip covering that sale and obtaining any supporting 
23
documentation as may be required by the Department"; and

on page 12, immediately below line 19, by inserting the

following:

    of ships, barges, or vessels used in or for commercial

    navigation or in or for the transportation of property on 
11
    waters in this State, by making a specific notation thereof

    by the Department. The supplier shall obtain and keep the

    supporting documentation in such form as the Department may
