 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1180

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1180 as follows:
 3    on page 1, line 5, by deleting "14-7.02,"; and

 4    on page 2, line 11, by replacing ", Private Tuition" with  ",
 5    Private Tuition"; and

 6    on page 5, by deleting lines 18 through 33; and

 7    by deleting pages 6 through 11; and

 8    on page 12, by deleting lines 1 through 4; and

 9    on  page  12,  line 11, by replacing "Section" with "Sections
10    14-7.02 and"; and

11    on page 12, line 18, by replacing  "Section"  with  "Sections
12    14-7.02 and"; and

13    on page 12, line 20, by replacing "21.5%" with "17.5%"; and

14    on  page  12,  line 24, after "payments", by inserting "under
15    this Section"; and

16    on page 12, line 26, by replacing "Sections 14-7.02 and" with
17    "Section"; and

18    on page 12, lines 27 and 28, by  replacing  "those  Sections"
19    with "Section 14-7.02a"; and

 1    on  page  13,  by  replacing  lines  13  through  17 with the
 2    following:
 3    "as calculated under Section  10-20.12a  of  this  Code,  the
 4    costs  in excess of 4 times the district's per capita tuition
 5    rate shall be paid by  the  State  Board  of  Education  from
 6    unexpended IDEA discretionary funds originally designated for
 7    room  and  board reimbursement pursuant to Section 14-8.01 of
 8    this Code. The amount of tuition for these children shall  be
 9    determined  by  the  actual  cost  of maintaining classes for
10    these children, using the per capita cost formula  set  forth
11    in  Section  14-7.01  of this Code, with the program and cost
12    being   pre-approved   by   the   State   Superintendent   of
13    Education."; and

14    on page 15, by replacing line 17 with the following:
15    "Section 14-7.02 or 14-7.02b 14-7.02a of this Code. Any  such
16    excess  room  and board funds must first be directed to those
17    school districts with students costing in excess of  4  times
18    the  district's  per  capita  tuition charge and then to Act,
19    based in"; and

20    on page 18, lines 19 and 20, by replacing  "Section  Sections
21    14-7.02 and" with "Sections 14-7.02 and 14-7.02b".
