 1        AN ACT in relation to pensions.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The  Illinois  Pension  Code  is amended by
 5    changing Section 8-101 as follows:

 6        (40 ILCS 5/8-101) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 8-101)
 7        Sec. 8-101. Creation of fund.  In each city of more  than
 8    500,000  inhabitants  a  Municipal Employees', Officers', and
 9    Officials' Annuity and Benefit Fund  shall  be  created,  set
10    apart,  maintained and administered, in the manner prescribed
11    in this Article, for the benefit of the  employees,  officers
12    and  officials  herein  designated in this Article, and their
13    beneficiaries.
