 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2705

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 2705  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section   5.  In  addition  to  any  amounts  heretofore
 5    appropriated, the following named amounts, or so much thereof
 6    as may be necessary, respectively, are  appropriated  to  the
 7    Department of Public Aid for Medical Assistance:
 8    FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE ILLINOIS PUBLIC AID CODE AND
 9    THE CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM ACT
10    Payable from the Intergovernmental Transfer Trust Fund:
11      For Health Care Providers..................     $40,000,000
12      Total......................................     $40,000,000

13        Section  99.   Effective  date.  This Act takes effect on
14    July 1, 2003.".
