The University of Illinois Act is amended by 5 adding Section 25 as follows: 6 (110 ILCS 305/25 new) 7 Sec. 25. Faculty tenure; point system. The Board of 8 Trustees shall implement a point system to evaluate whether 9 or not a faculty member should receive tenure. The awarding 10 of points must be done by the head of the faculty member's 11 department. Points must be given to the faculty member based 12 on the quality of the job the faculty member has done, 13 including his or her performance in the classroom, the number 14 of publications he or she has authored, community service 15 participation, and service to the department. 16 Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management 17 Act is amended by adding Section 15 as follows: 18 (110 ILCS 520/15 new) 19 Sec. 15. Faculty tenure; point system.
