| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4132 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Plat Act is amended by adding Section 56 as |

| follows:

| (765 ILCS 205/56 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 56. Duty of counties issuing building/improvement |
| 8 |
| permits. Counties that are authorized by law to exercise land |
| 9 |
| use control through a building/improvement permit process may |
| 10 |
| deny the issuance of a building permit for building or other |
| 11 |
| improvement to be constructed on a parcel of land subdivided |
| 12 |
| contrary to the provisions of this Act.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 14 |
| becoming law.".
