    AN ACT concerning business transactions.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Building and Construction Contract Act is

amended  by changing Section 10 as follows:

    (815 ILCS 665/10)

    Sec. 10. Application of laws of another state. A provision 
8
contained
in
or
executed in connection with a building and 
9
construction contract to be
performed in
Illinois that makes 
10
the contract subject to the laws of another state or that

11
requires that any
litigation, arbitration, or dispute 
12
resolution to take place in another
state is against
public 
13
policy.  Such a provision is void and unenforceable.
