    Amends the School Code. Provides that each year on or before October 1, a school board shall provide to a newspaper of general circulation within the school district the name, position, and salary of each of the district's administrators.  Provides that the newspaper has the discretion to publish the information or not.

    AN ACT concerning education.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The School Code is amended  by adding Sections 
5
10-20.39 and 34-18.30 as follows:

    (105 ILCS 5/10-20.39  new)

    Sec. 10-20.39. Report administrators' salaries. Each year 
8
on or before October 1, a school board shall provide to a 
9
newspaper of general circulation within the school district the 
10
name, position, and salary of each of the district's 
11
administrators.  The newspaper has the discretion to publish the 
12
information or not.
