| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4492 by replacing |

| the title with the following: |

| "AN ACT in relation to health."; and |

| by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the |

| following:

| "Section 5. The Medical Practice Act of 1987 is amended by |

| adding Section 7.10 as follows:

| (225 ILCS 60/7.10 new) |
| 11 |
| Sec. 7.10. Guidelines for pain management. The Department |
| 12 |
| and the Disciplinary Board shall adopt guidelines for pain |
| 13 |
| management.
|
| 14 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 |
| becoming law.".
