    Creates as the Prostate Cancer Research Continuing Appropriation Act. Provides for a continuing annual appropriation from the Prostate Cancer Research Fund to the Department of Public Health for the purpose of making grants to public and private entities for prostate cancer research.

    AN ACT concerning cancer prevention.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the 
5
Prostate Cancer Research Continuing Appropriation Act.

    Section 5. Prostate Cancer Research Fund; appropriation.

For the purpose of awarding grants for prostate cancer 
8
research, there is hereby appropriated, on a continuing annual 
9
basis in each fiscal year, from the Prostate Cancer Research 
10
Fund to the Department of Public Health the sum of $300,000, or 
11
so much of that amount as is deposited into the Prostate Cancer 
12
Research Fund in each fiscal year if that amount is less than 
13
$300,000, for the purpose of making grants to public and 
14
private entities for prostate cancer research as provided in 
15
Section 2310-398 of the Department of Public Health Powers and 
16
Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois.
