    Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Requires a notice of cancellation or notice of change in policy benefits to which an insured is entitled shall also be sent to each person covered under the policy. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning insurance.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended  by adding 
5
Section 357.32 as follows:

    (215 ILCS 5/357.32 new)

    Sec. 357.32. Additional notices. A notice of cancellation 
8
of a health and accident insurance policy or notice of change 
9
in policy benefits to which the insured is entitled shall also 
10
be sent to each person covered under the policy.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
12
becoming law.
