| AN ACT concerning civil procedure.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 2-1703 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (735 ILCS 5/2-1703) (from Ch. 110, par. 2-1703)
|

| Sec. 2-1703. Past/Future Damages. As used in this Part:
|
| 8 |
| (a) "Past damages" means damages that have accrued when the |
| 9 |
| damages
findings are made.
|
| 10 |
| (b) "Future damages" includes all damages that
which the |
| 11 |
| trier of fact finds
will accrue after the damages findings are |
| 12 |
| made, including, without
limitation, damages for future |
| 13 |
| medical or health treatment, care or
custody, loss of future |
| 14 |
| earnings, loss of bodily function, future pain and
suffering, |
| 15 |
| and future physical impairment and inconvenience.
