775 ILCS 5/7-112.1 new










    Amends the Illinois Human Rights Act. Provides that the Department of Human Rights shall establish a Systemic Unit to initiate and investigate charges of unlawful discrimination in employment in instances in which discriminatory patterns and practices are identified. Effective January 1, 2005.

    AN ACT concerning human rights.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Human Rights Act is amended  by 
5
adding Section 7-112.1 as follows:

    (775 ILCS 5/7-112.1  new)

    Sec. 7-112.1. Systemic Unit. The Department shall 
8
establish a Systemic Unit to initiate and investigate charges 
9
of unlawful discrimination in employment in instances in which 
10
discriminatory patterns and practices are identified.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 
12
1, 2005.
