    AN ACT concerning civil liabilities.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Cannabis and Controlled Substances Tort 
5
Claims Act is amended
by changing Section 7 as follows:

    (740 ILCS 20/7)  (from Ch. 70, par. 907)

    Sec. 7. Stay of proceedings. The prosecuting attorney of 
8
any government
or governmental
subdivision or agency may move 
9
for a stay of any proceeding brought under
this Act, to include 
10
all discovery, pending the completion of an
investigation or 
11
prosecution of a case related to the subject matter of a
suit 
12
brought under this Act.
