| AN ACT concerning transportation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing
|

| Section 1-101 as follows:
|

| (625 ILCS 5/1-101) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 1-101)

| Sec. 1-101. Definition of words and phrases. The following |

| words and phrases
when used in this Code shall, for the purpose |

| of this Code, have
the meanings respectively ascribed to them |

| in this Chapter,
except when the context otherwise requires and |
| 11 |
| except where another definition
set forth in another Chapter of |
| 12 |
| this Code and applicable to
that Chapter or a designated part |

| thereof is applicable.
