| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by adding |

| Section 17.5 as follows:

| (225 ILCS 10/17.5 new)
|

| Sec. 17.5. Zoning. Nothing in this Act or the rules adopted |
| 8 |
| under this Act preempts or limits any powers of units of local |
| 9 |
| government to enact and enforce local zoning, building, and |
| 10 |
| life safety codes.

| 11 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 12 |
| becoming law.".
