| AN ACT concerning labor.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Child Labor Law is amended by changing
|
| 5 |
| Section 4 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (820 ILCS 205/4) (from Ch. 48, par. 31.4)

| Sec. 4. Meal period. No minor under sixteen (16) years of |
| 8 |
| age shall be
employed, or
permitted to work in any gainful |
| 9 |
| occupations mentioned in Section 1 of this
Act for more than |
| 10 |
| five (5) hours continuously without an interval of at
least |
| 11 |
| thirty (30) minutes for meal period, and no period of less than
|
| 12 |
| thirty (30) minutes shall be deemed to interrupt a continuous |
| 13 |
| period of
work.
