    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing

8-3 as follows:

    Sec. 8-3. 
Compensation.
 Each school treasurer shall

receive in full, for his or her services, a
compensation to be 
9
fixed, prior to his or her appointment, and such
compensation

shall not be decreased during his or her term of office.
