| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing

| Sec. 18-6. Supervisory expenses.
The State Board of |

| Education
shall annually request an appropriation from the |
| 9 |
| common school fund for
regional office of education expenses, |
| 10 |
| aggregating $1,000 per county per year
for each educational |
| 11 |
| service region.
The State Board of Education shall present |
| 12 |
| vouchers to the State
Comptroller as
soon as may be after the |
| 13 |
| first day of August
each year for each regional office of |
| 14 |
| education.
Each regional office of education may draw upon this |
| 15 |
| fund for the
expenses necessarily incurred in providing for |
| 16 |
| supervisory services in the
region.
