| AN ACT in relation to pensions.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing |
| 5 |
| Section
22-601 as follows:
|

| Sec. 22-601. Preservation of pension rights. The |
| 8 |
| provisions of the
Municipal Employees Military Active Duty Act
|
| 9 |
| "An Act authorizing municipal
corporations to preserve civil |
| 10 |
| service and pension rights of their employees
inducted into or |
| 11 |
| enlisting in the land or naval forces of the United States, or
|
| 12 |
| ordered to active duty in the military or naval forces of the |
| 13 |
| State", approved
March 26, 1941, and all subsequent amendments |
| 14 |
| and modifications thereof, to
the extent applicable, shall |
| 15 |
| apply to preserve pension rights of employees
subject to this |
| 16 |
| Code.
