| AN ACT concerning consumer protection.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business |

| Practices Act is
amended by changing Section 11 as follows:
|

| (815 ILCS 505/11) (from Ch. 121 1/2, par. 271)

| Sec. 11. Severability. If any provision of this Act or the |
8 |
| application
thereof to any
person or circumstance is held |
9 |
| invalid, the invalidity shall not affect
other provisions or |
10 |
| applications of the Act which can be given effect
without the |
11 |
| invalid provision or application and to this end the provisions
|
12 |
| of this Act are severable.
