| AN ACT concerning telecommunications.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing
|

| Section 13-214 as follows:
|

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on July 1, 2005)

| Sec. 13-214. Mobile services.
|
| 9 |
| (a) "Public mobile services" means air-to-ground radio
|
| 10 |
| telephone services, cellular radio telecommunications |
| 11 |
| services, offshore
radio, rural radio service, public land |
| 12 |
| mobile telephone service and other
common carrier radio |
| 13 |
| communications services.
|
| 14 |
| (b) "Private radio services" means private land mobile |
| 15 |
| radio services
and other communications services characterized |
| 16 |
| by the Commission as
private radio services.
