| AN ACT in relation to veterans.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Children of Deceased Veterans Act is amended |
| 5 |
| by changing
Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (330 ILCS 105/2) (from Ch. 126 1/2, par. 27)

| Sec. 2. Payments to institutions; eligibility if children.
|
| 8 |
| The amounts
that become due to any educational or training
|
| 9 |
| institution, or any child under this Act, not in excess of the |
| 10 |
| amount
specified in Section 1 of this Act, shall be payable to |
| 11 |
| such institution
or school or child or, if such child is a |
| 12 |
| minor, to his parent or guardian
on vouchers approved by the |
| 13 |
| Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs.
Such Department
|
| 14 |
| shall determine the eligibility of the children who make |
| 15 |
| application for
the benefits provided for in this Act; satisfy |
| 16 |
| itself of the attendance of
such children at any such |
| 17 |
| institution or school and of the accuracy and
reasonableness of |
| 18 |
| the charge or charges submitted, on account of the
attendance |
| 19 |
| thereat of any such children.
