| AN ACT in relation to liens.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Mechanics Lien Act is amended by changing
|
| 5 |
| Section 6 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (770 ILCS 60/6) (from Ch. 82, par. 6)

| Sec. 6. In no event shall it be necessary to fix or |
| 8 |
| stipulate in any
contract a time for the completion or a time |
| 9 |
| for payment in order to obtain
a lien under this act, provided, |
| 10 |
| that the work is done or material
furnished within 3
three
|
| 11 |
| years from the commencement of said work or
the
commencement of |
| 12 |
| furnishing said material.
