| AN ACT in relation to the regulation of professions.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Optometric Practice Act of 1987 is |
| 5 |
| amended by
changing Section 4 as follows:
|

| (225 ILCS 80/4) (from Ch. 111, par. 3904)
|

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2007)
|

| Sec. 4. Necessity of license. No person shall practice, or |
| 9 |
| attempt
to practice, optometry,
as defined in this Act, without |
| 10 |
| a valid license as an optometrist issued by
the Department.
