| AN ACT in relation to the regulation of professions.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Architecture Practice Act of 1989 |
| 5 |
| is amended by
changing Section 35 as follows:
|
| 6 |

| (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2010)

| Sec. 35. Certification of record. The Department shall not |
| 9 |
| be required
to certify any
record to the court or file any |
| 10 |
| answer in court or otherwise appear in any
court in a judicial |
| 11 |
| review proceeding, unless there is filed in the court with
the
|
| 12 |
| complaint a receipt from the Department acknowledging payment |
| 13 |
| of the costs
of furnishing and certifying the record. Failure |
| 14 |
| on the part of the
plaintiff to file the
such receipt in court |
| 15 |
| shall be grounds for
dismissal of the action.
