    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 6906 on page 1,

lines 14 and 15, by replacing "professional development for

teachers (in a specific subject area if applicable)" with 
5
"recruitment and retention initiatives to assist in recruiting 
6
and retaining highly qualified teachers (in a specific subject 
7
area if applicable) as specified in paragraphs (1)(B), (2)(A), 
8
(2)(B), (4)(A), (4)(B), and (4)(C) of subsection (a) of Section 
9
2123 of the Act"; and

on page 1, line 24, by replacing "a" with "the"; and
 
11
on page 1, line 29, before "board", by inserting "school"; and
 
12
on page 1, lines 30 and 31, by replacing "professional 
13
development for teachers (in a specific subject area if 
14
applicable)" with "recruitment and retention initiatives to 
15
assist in recruiting and retaining highly qualified teachers 
16
(in a specific subject area is applicable) as specified in 
17
paragraphs (1)(B), (2)(A), (2)(B), (4)(A), (4)(B), and (4)(C)

of subsection (a) of Section 2123 of the Act".
